Shirakawago - one of the most magical destinations that I’ve ever been to. It is quite a long drive from most of the major cities in Japan but with Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist pass, I took the bus direct to the village. I saved lots of time and $$ from making good use of this pass, exploring Fukui, Nagoya, Takayama, Kanazawa, Toyama and more.
